Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 August 2026
1. Provider and scope
These terms govern the use of the Supsy mobile app (the „app"), the supsy.to website and the services available through them. The provider is P&D Abend Media, Bungerstr. 1, 66640 Namborn, Germany.
By using Supsy you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the app or the website.
2. What Supsy is — and what it is not
Supsy creates short-lived contact identifiers, called wires (Drähte). A wire consists of a random code and a purpose you choose yourself. Through the link supsy.to/<code> someone can reach you without knowing your phone number, your email address or your name.
Supsy provides in particular:
- creating wires with a freely chosen expiry rule
- sharing a wire as a short link or QR code — including as an email we send on your behalf to an address you provide
- a screening question in which the caller states a name and their concern — optionally mandatory: per wire you can require that it does not ring without a stated reason
- voice messages when you are unavailable or do not answer
- an encrypted voice connection between two devices — incoming through your wires, outgoing when someone has given you a wire
- a list of parties who have called before, which you can remember or block
- switching a wire off temporarily — and back on whenever you like
- immediate, irreversible deactivation of a wire („burning")
- downloading your data and deleting your account, both directly from within the app
Supsy is not a telephone service. No phone numbers are issued, there is no connection to the telephone network, and emergency calls are not possible through Supsy. For emergencies always use your regular phone and the relevant emergency number.
The range of functions may differ by platform, app version and enabled features. No particular range of functions is owed.
3. Account and sign-in
Creating wires requires an account. Sign-in works via an email code or a provider we support. There is no password.
Anyone calling through a wire needs no account. An anonymous session is created for the duration of the call; it contains no name and no identifier that leads back to a person.
You are responsible for making sure nobody else has access to your mailbox or device. If your account is misused, contact hello@supsy.to.
4. Minimum age
Supsy is intended for people aged 16 and over. If you are younger, you may only use Supsy with the consent of your legal guardians.
5. Wires, expiry and burning
A wire expires according to the rule you pick when creating it: after a number of days, on a date, after the first accepted conversation, after a number of calls, or after a period without use.
Validity is recalculated on every access. An expired wire stops working at the moment of expiry, even if the link is still written somewhere.
Codes are never reused. Expired and burned wires therefore remain stored with their code, so that an identifier never passes to another person. The purpose and code of a burned wire stay visible to you; nobody can reach it any more.
Burning takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
Switching off is not the same as burning. You can switch a wire off and back on at any time. While it is off, nobody gets through; whoever has the link gets the same answer as for an expired wire. The clock keeps running — we do not quietly postpone a date you promised someone, and a rule of „after days without use" applies to a switched-off wire more than to any other. Switched-off wires do not count towards the number of simultaneously reachable wires.
6. Your obligations
You agree not to use Supsy in order to:
- harass, threaten, insult or stalk others
- transmit unlawful, harmful or deceptive content
- impersonate another person or organisation
- send advertising, bulk calls or automated calls
- use the email delivery of a wire to contact strangers unsolicited — you assure us that you know the address and have a reason to write to it
- guess codes systematically or query the services automatically
- circumvent security measures, rate limits or access restrictions
- overload the infrastructure or misuse it as a proxy
As the owner of a wire you decide who gets the link. Whoever has the link can reach you through that wire — until it expires or you burn it.
7. Voice messages and content
You and your counterpart are responsible for the content you transmit through Supsy. We do not listen to voice messages and do not analyse them.
Supsy forgets by itself. Call history and messages are deleted automatically after a retention period. Without Supsy Plus it is 14 days; with Plus you choose it in your profile, between 7 days and „never expires". You can always delete earlier yourself. We do not owe storage beyond this period — save anything important elsewhere in good time.
A voice message may be up to 60 seconds long without Plus and up to 10 minutes with it. The limit follows the plan of the person being called, not that of the caller.
Recording conversations without the consent of everyone involved is a criminal offence in Germany (§ 201 StGB). Supsy provides no feature for it.
8. Availability
We aim for reliable operation but do not owe any particular availability. Maintenance, third-party outages or circumstances beyond our control may cause interruptions.
A voice connection is only established if both sides have a suitable internet connection. Network coverage and data allowance are matters for your provider, not for us.
9. Supsy Plus
Supsy is usable free of charge. Free means: up to two simultaneously active wires, voice messages up to 60 seconds, and a 14-day retention period for call history and messages. Everything else — calling, being called, burning, sharing — is included in the free scope and stays that way.
Supsy Plus lifts exactly those three limits:
- any number of simultaneously active wires
- voice messages up to 10 minutes
- a freely chosen retention period from 7 days to „never expires"
Term, price and renewal
Plus is available as a monthly and as an annual subscription. The price is shown to you in the app before purchase — in your currency and with your country's tax; that is why no figure appears here. Both subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Charging takes place within those 24 hours.
Cancellation
You cancel where you are billed: in the subscription settings of your App Store or Google Play account. The app takes you there with one tap. We cannot cancel your subscription for you — all we see is „valid until". After cancellation, Plus continues until the end of the period you paid for.
Withdrawal and refunds
For digital content you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. It lapses as soon as the service is supplied immediately with your express consent — which is exactly what happens with a subscription that unlocks right after purchase.
Billing runs through the respective store; who your contractual partner for the payment is follows from that store's terms. A withdrawal or a refund must therefore be declared there. We cannot refund purchases, because the money never reaches us. If you get nowhere there, write to hello@supsy.to — we will help as far as we can.
What happens when Plus ends
The principle: nothing someone else is holding gets devalued. In concrete terms:
- Wires stay. Existing wires keep working and stay reachable, even if there are more than two. Only creating new ones is blocked until you are back below two active wires. We never delete a wire because a subscription ended — that would take away reachability from an uninvolved person who would never learn why.
- Messages already left stay as they are, even if longer than 60 seconds. The length limit applies only to new ones.
- Retention falls back to 14 days — but only 30 days after the subscription ends. That grace period exists because this is the only limit that actually deletes anything. Those 30 days give you time to download your data.
10. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account directly in the app at any time: Profile → Account → Delete account. That removes your wires, your call history, your messages including recordings, and your account. All your links stop working immediately. This cannot be undone — download your data first if you want to keep it.
A running subscription does not end with it. Cancel it in the store first, or you will keep being charged.
We may suspend or delete accounts if these terms are breached or for good cause; for minor breaches we will give notice first.
11. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, under the German Product Liability Act, and for injury to life, body or health.
For simple negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation — that is, an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In that case our liability is limited in amount to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
We are not liable for content transmitted by other users or for the conduct of the other party to a call.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms where required for legal or technical reasons or where we offer new features. We will announce material changes in the app or by email. If you do not object within six weeks or continue using Supsy, they are deemed accepted.
13. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
If any provision is invalid, the remainder stays in force.
